We have made some fantastic plasticine models of the Earth, showing the structure from the rock solid inner core (a marble!) to the outer core, mantle and crust. We then cut a section out of the model to show what these layers look like. This will help us with our Science learning about habitats and how species become extinct, but we also spotted it in our English, when we were reading about Renewable Energy Sources!

This week, we have continued to learn about features of the British Isles, concentrating on the seas and rivers. As you can see, Marvin has been out and about, visiting Wales and exploring the countryside there. If you have any photos, or have any trips planned to different parts of Britain, please let us know so we can add the information to our class display! We have also been learning about the classification of animals, and we have continued to practise our 4 times tables – there have been some very swift moves up the TT Rockstars Leader Board, including a few rock heroes among us! Well done to everyone for their hard work – next week it is the 6 times table!!
