Literacy task
Once you have listened to the story read, I would like you to draw a picture, of an animal you heard, into your scrapbook. Or you could research more animals that come from that specific area if you would like to choose a completely different animal.
Receptions – please complete the pictures in your scrap book, on a new page each day. When you have finished you could do some extra research on your animal and if you would like to challenge yourself even further you could write some key words down next to your picture.
Years one – please complete the pictures in your scrap book, on a new page each day. After you have drawn your picture, try to write a sentence about your chosen animal.
Reception maths
Today I would like you to find a maximum of 8 coins of any value. Place them inside a bag or your hands to give them a shake. When they have been shook well, empty them out onto the table. Record how many heads you can see (red dot) and how many tails you can see (blue dot), this can be recorded as the example picture shown below. You can explore different sums you can make either working with 6, 7 or 8 coins or all of them if you are feeling brave!
Year one maths
